I have an exhaustive collection of poker books, which I’ve come to view as more of a collection than a learning library. Once a poker player reaches the intermediate level, reading poker books produces minimal improvement in one’s overall poker skill. I feel that I reached that point of diminishing returns many book purchases ago.
To further ones learning, a player needs to analyze their own game and that of their opponents. This book helps the reader learn to do precisely that. This is not light reading, it’s more like a college text book. If the reader is willing to study the concepts and think deeply about how those concepts apply to their own game and underlie the play of individual hands, then this book is worthwhile.

Just received this today **I’m a complete novice I’d like to add** and find this book simply outstanding, never knew poker could be so in depth, It’s put in context that’s easy to understand and digest 5 out of 5
