PKR will leave you wondering why you played for so long at online poker sites with sub-standard poker software. To put it simply, the PKR graphics are outstanding. Sure, you pay the price with a hefty download, however, vector based graphics means a crystal clear screen all the time. Full customizations add to the playing experience. It’s not all about the software though and backing it up is a solid organization with a deep understanding of online poker.

PKR software runs to about half a gigabyte, however, it is well worth the wait. The poker graphics are so far ahead of the competition because they are vector based and this means no matter what size table you are displaying, it will always be crystal clear. There are multiple views and you can customize the look and feel of most aspects.

Of course fancy software is all well and good, however, what does it mean? Well, plenty of soft games for a start. The people attracted to PKR tend to go there for a look at the software and aren’t necessarily the top notch regular online poker players. This is good news for the more experience players. The downside is players are limited to only four tables when playing multiple tables compared to other poker sites that offer up to sixteen. Things also tend to slow down a bit when playing multiple tables.

PKR aren’t part of a poker network so player numbers tend to be lower. That said, things are growing pretty quickly and you should be able to find the right games most of the time. These are a good mix of Texas Hold’em, Omaha No Limit, Pot Limit and Limit. Add to that the tournaments in single and multi versions.

Tournaments are held regularly and with a good range of buyins starting from a dollar. If that’s too steep then there are plenty of free tournaments. History shows these are very loose so plenty of picking around the poker tourneys.

Promotions and bonuses are nice and clear and requirements are set at reasonable levels so most people will qualify. Signup bonuses are a choice between one suited for small players just wanting to try things out, and more serious players looking to stay around and be rewarded for their loyalty. Continuing to play helps accrue points towards free stuff including PKR merchandise, freerolls, reload bonuses and even up to the VIP program with even better rewards.

Let’s not forget that this is a Apple Mac (OS X) compatible poker room. It would be a shame for all the sensible folks who use a Mac to miss out on trying the fabulous software.
